- Explore the lush gardens and parklands in KINGS PARK whilst enjoying the majestic Perth city and river views.
* Visit some of Perth cities top attractions, like the PERTH MINT, the SWAN BELLS BELLTOWER, the MUSEUM and ART GALLERY or the PERTH ZOO.
* Discover the secrets of Perth city on a GUIDED TOUR or explore in your own time on the free CAT buses.
* Get some retail therapy and go SHOPPING in Perth city malls, King Street or at the factory outlet centre HARBOUR TOWN.
* Spend time enjoying Perth's beautiful SWAN RIVER – walk along the banks, hire a bike, join a cruise or for a thrilling ride go jet boating or parasailing.
* Venture further afield and explore the trendy OUTER SUBURBS surrounding Perth City centre.
* Join some friends for a relaxing drink or a delicious meal in one of Perth's many local BARS AND RESTAURANTS.
Further to the above, I'd also recommend visiting nearby Fremantle and doing the excellent tour of the there.
Margaret River is worth visiting if you are into wine-tasting.
A trip over to Rottnest Island is worthwhile, you can do some snorkelling, swimming and hire a bike to ride around the island.
I definitely agree with the suggestion to go to Rottnest Island. Kings Park is always good for a picnic or a BBQ, and there's some nice views over the city.
Also given you're arriving in the middle of summer, I strongly recommend lots of beach action! I would go down south for a couple of days too, visit the wineries near Margaret River and then spend some time at the beach at Yallingup/Dunsborough.
Spend a day touring the Swan Valley which is 30 minutes out of town (make sure you ain't driving)
Crammed with wineries and restaurants, boutique breweries (german one is the Duckstein), chocolate factory and a rum distillery (try the sampler tray).
Would highly recommend Rotto for a full day's R & R.
