When I get comments to my blog entries I like to reply and thank people. I get an email alerting me when new comments are made, but if I make public comments and someone is not a member, then I assume they do not get an email and have to go on the site to see a thank you. Is this correct, or do they get notified of my public comments to what they have said. Otherwise, I assume I just have to send them a private email thanking them. Just want to verify that this is correct. Thank you Jonshapiro
When non members leave a comment, they're required to fill in their email address, and have the option (just like registered members) to indicate that they want to be notified of future comments. So, assuming that the people haven't unchecked that option, they'll indeed get an automatic email.
