I am an Indian passport holder and I am in Germany on a Type-D visa based out of Frankfurt-Marburg area. However, I need to visit Italy a couple of times for training but the type-D visa I have does not permit me to travel to other Schengen countries. In this scenario, what would be the procedure to get the required Schengen visa?
I was told by the consulate in India that I have to do this from Germany itself. From where and how I am not very clear about.
