Roadtrip west-coast

I suggest a stop first in Sedona, Arizona and then in Palm Springs on your way back to the Los Angeles area. The first one is another southwestern "natural beauty" area, and the second one is an area with lots of swimming pools and nightlife.

Once you are in the LA metro area, the areas to visit are Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach;--and if you want to visit an amusement park, the best ones are Disneyland (Anaheim), Universal Studios (North Hollywood), Knotts Berry Farm (Buena Park) or (on the outskirts) Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia).

Enjoy your trip

If you want to spend a few nights in Yosemite you will need reservations for a campsite.
You need to make the reservations NOW.
You may already be too late.

And do you know what's the best site to make a reservation for tents?
We have already been looking at www.recreations.gov, but we didn't find any available tentsites during our stay over there.
Are we already to late? If so, do you know any cheap solution for our problem?

Here's the website you need:

I was in Yosemite in mid April and stayed in Camp 4. Its a walk-in campground in the valley. I had no problems but it wasn't the busy season. In July most campgrounds, if not all, should be open and it looks like they have 7 campgrounds that are first come first serve. If you do try to get one of these I would suggest getting to the campgrounds early to find a spot. Also try not to make your first night on the weekend.
