Hi there, in my opinion I would do France-Belgium as there's so many options for where to go depending on what you like doing. Great choices for Belgium so France options could include, Nice (gorgeous part of the Riviera, with fantastic restaurants, galleries and museums as well as great beaches), Bordeaux(for the wine and beautiful scenery) or as ever you can't go wrong with Paris! As for getting the best deals on flights, it probably would be better to fly to the other neighbouring country you choose and then move onto Belgium. It's best to book as soon as you can too, as earlier bookings usually result in cheaper prices. I work with London Luton Airport and you can check our website for further details. Plenty of cheap options (by air and rail) from London to Antwerpen and Brussel.
From either of the two cities you can get trains and budget airlines to Amsterdam, Germany and France.
I can't see anything wrong with you doing all destinations. They're all so close together.
Cityjet do flights from London City to Antwerpen and Easyjet fly to Amsterdam from both Gatwick and Luton. Most flights are cheaper than the train - and quicker too.

Am not a frequent traveller, that makes me a non-seasoned traveller. I've tried looking for cheap flights Brussles/Antwerp for the month of June but can't find anything less than £50 as a train ride is just £28.
Apart from that, I did a bit of calculations like going to Netherlands then fly to Belgium. The flight cost for Netherlands-Belgium is quite expensive and it's in Euro.
Thanks for suggesting but I can't do all the destinations togather at a go unless I have a proper itinerary and knows how to go from point A to point B and etc.
Claire, you've given me quite a good option but I was wondering if it's better to leave France for another trip where I can visit the whole of France and just France as I do hear quite a lot about interesting and nice places in France.

I wouldn't recommend it. Train from (for example) Rotterdam to the Belgium border - is about 30 minutes. It'll cost about €12.

Maybe it would be better to dedicate a whole trip to France because you would probably need at least a couple of weeks to explore France alone! Holland would be a great option, with cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, there's always so much to see and do. I'm going to Amsterdam and Rotterdam later in the year myself so if it's so easy to get to Belgium I might take a trip there too! If you take this option, let us know how it went. Are you any closer to making a decision?

I keep thinking between the benefits of going to different countries in a trip over focusing on a country and move around to different cities of that country. Apart from being able to cover more countries (different stamps) in the passport I think can be quite a rush isn't it?
Looks like I'm still not anywhere closer to Belgium or France just yet :P
