Best Part of SA to visit in mid-July to beginning of August?

Hi all,

At any rate, you should stick to the northern part of the continent. South of the line BsAs-Santiago, it's just too cold.

Never been to Colombia, but it's deemed safe as far the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs is concerned. It's definitely a good country beach-wise, so I'd give it a try.

Don't go to Colombia. It's so great and cheap and interesting right now, that too many others going there will spoil the place. Go to Macchu Picchu....Yeah...that's the ticket.

Sarcasm, see, yeah see.......

Thanks for the info! I think we are really leaning toward Colombia. Are there any places that are a must see while we are there? Or things that we really should do while there? Also, hotel recommendations?

Is 14 days in Colombia too much? And if so, are there other places in South America that wouldn't take too much time to get to that people would recommend? Thanks so much!

If you feel like giving Ecuador a shot, let me know.. I have friends on the beach in conoa that I can get you in touch with.. Laid back spot with a great vibe!
