I'm an Australian that really wants to spend a year working in Mainland Europe, but all jobs I can seem to find require being bilingual.
Well, the economy is bad in Europe. Hardly anybody is offering. If you only speak English and don't have a lot of experience or training expect some low-paid menial jobs. Those jobs are advertised locally, you usually find something by word of mouth, knocking on doors, going to the job agency at 8 am in the morning, reading the newspaper, etc.
Also each country is different. You would get more helpful tips if you could tell us which countries you are interested in.
