not so common in Croatia to sleep around, could be also sanctioned by the law i.e. you can get a fine. Something to do with EU as well....but i think it is also in Croatian legislation since long ago..... You can risk a night or two on the beach but I am not sure 8 of you can pass unnoticed.....
So, take a tent, pay few $$$ and sleep in camps. There are many and they are very cheap.
Hm, but if we are sleeping in a beach without a tent, just with sleepingbags we still get those fines?
Even Croatia is rather safe country it's not recommended to sleep where ever you want to. Croatia has its rules to be respected or you will be fined. My advice will be to use camp sites which are everywhere along the coast. Take with you tents or use a cheap rooms rentals (sobe). Anyhow where ever you sleep local authorities will ask you to be registered and to pay tax.
It depends; where do you want to go? Visit what part?
