Hey everyone! I'm in need of a good recommendation. For the longest time my friends and I have been looking to go to winter lodge somewhere within a reasonable distance from New York City (not more than a 4 hour drive). We want it to be located within the vicinity of a skiing/snowboarding area and to be primarily a lodge for young people (mostly college kids) with parties at night or something (just looking for a crazy time). Does anybody know of any such places? Thanks ahead for the help!
Okay, first thing you need to know is that the major ski resorts near New York City are all at least 5 hours away. The best of these for après-ski activity is Killington,VT. It is easy to get to; just take I-87 north, then after you pass Glen Falls, get on 149 east to U.S. 4 east. Total time is 5 hours. Total distance is 256 miles to get there.
Go to the Lookout Bar & Grille, the Wobbly Barn Or the Pickle Barrel for drinks and bands. There are lots of places to stay and since you didn't mention your budget, I'll leave it to you to pick a place.
