Tiger Air sucks!!

Have you travel using Tiger Air? I can forgive the cabin seat size. But to change your original flight anyway they want without considering my other connection flight, that is so unthinkable! They use bully tactic and they think they have the right.

With budget airlines you get what you pay for. Everything goes OK, you got a cheap flight. If it doesn't, they don't care.

I just hope MARKETING for travel related products can be DIRECT TO THE POINT...

I'm having a hard time comparing the rates of 3 budget airlines.... Air Asia, Cebu Pacific and Tiger Air.... (With the hidden charges, like various taxes, then I have to convert the currencies). I'd probably choose Air Asia this time, they have a better website.

If Tiger sucks, then it's all the same banana... I recently took an international flight, Philippine Airlines, and I felt guilty coz it ain't a budget airlines... But it was Cheapest option then. I check out this budget airlines and I see a ticket for 16,000 and the next day it drops to 4,000, and it's both regular rates.... I just wish things can be as simple as LAND TRAVEL, where the rates seem fixed and none of this "What's the catch?" marketing schemes.

I flew budget airlines, but I never got those cheap rates...

Especially the Singapore ground counter staff!
When we had to make a complaint there were THREE other groups of people who wanted to complain at the same time!
The duty manager one " Mumtag Begum" wioking on 22nd January 2015, around 11am Singapore time simply stuck to her slogan, whatever happens it is not our fault, it is YOUR fault!
The skinny monkey conveiently refuses to give her name and escpaed / disappeared when she knew the problem was that the fault lay with the ground staff. Terribely RUDE, IRRESPONSIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Don't fly this airline even they PAID you!. Especially from Singapore , you would be better off / happier rowing a boat!

It is high time the airline fired these idiots and employ proper front line COURTEOUS and professional people. A disgrace to budget airlines and to Singapore CHangi airport.

For those who want to read our experiences, it is indicated below:
My wife and myself WERE loyal customers of Tiger airline It saddens me to say that it is disappointing that the service quality and lack of responsibility of the service staff at Changi International Airport is appalling.

She had already been boarded ( one of tigerair's staff) had collected her boarding pass at the boarding gate and informed the plane she was boarding. As her handcarry was being screened by airport security , they found an item they were not familiar with and there was an half hour delay . ( which the airport is looking into ) . Since she already handed in her boarding pass. the tigerair staff Promised her the plane will wait. five minutes before flight time. the airport screening was finally done and she was ready to board behind a small family on the same flight. Horrors of horrors, despite the promises of the tigerair checkin counter she now insisted that we would have to purchase a new ticket. Not only that, she was nonchalant about it and when asked her name she told that she had no name! Upon further questioning she said her name was" magician venus gamutan, " and the other "sumitra venugopai" Totally irresponsible!!! Makes you wonder how many magacians and wizards there are in tigerair , more likely what kind of service attitudes these monkeys have!
They are just RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!

Incensed, we then approached the duty manager on day shift. She too refused to give us her name! TOTALL IRRESOBSIBLE! Her badge was turned around to hide her name! . When we interrogated her colleagues , it was a" Mumtag Begum" and she was just SUPER RUDE, insisting it was not their fault although her colleagues at the boarding gate did confirm that they had Promised the flight would wait And the boarding pass was already collected!!!

She SHOUTED at us and told me she will not talk to me , only to the other passenger. She would not give her name nor take responsibilty. And she insisted it was the passenger's fault. She simply stuck to her slogan, whatever happens it is not our fault, it is YOUR fault!
And conveniently she suddenly disappeared! When 3 groups of people came and complained at the same time.
She hid her name badge
refused to give her name
and did a disappearing act!

I insisted she called the boarding gate to check what happened. She called and there was a PROMISE from ground staff that the plane would wait for the passger to board. Despite this the Promise was not fulfilled by these untrained bunch of monkeys in Singapore
I would like to get a response from Tigerair regarding this person and I would love to hear more feedback regarding Tigerair.

Don't you always keep part of the boarding pass at least, thorn apart from the main one?
I have difficulties following WHY you had to pay for another ticket.

the pilot departed 5 minutes before the departure or flight time indicated on the airticket or boarding pass. And the staff had collected the boarding pass for that particular morning flight.

Apparently the Singapore airport control towers in the airport have a 15 mins time limit for the airplane to take flight ( from departure time ) or there will be a finanacial penalty. ie if you are suppose to depart 10:20 am you have until 10:35ham to be airbourne or there will be a financial penalty.
The information from the Singapore Changi Airport Staff leads me to believe that the pilot left 5 minutes early. At 10:15am instead of 10:20 am ( depart time indicated on Ticket or boarding pass ) It should have waited as I was already in the boarding gate at 9:50am which was made known to Tigerair staff. Thus I was not late! I did not miss my flight inspite of the security check delay which was over by 10:15am. I was not late!
and Tigerair should compensate for flying 5 minutes before its indicated flight time (depart) of 10:20am and the staff for failing to inform the pilot that there was one more passenger currently Still boarding!
The pilot left early to err on the safe side without me! In this case sacrificing one passenger leaving him stranded!

They were refusing to refund although it seemed it was definitely their fault, And tried to pressure the customer into a new ticket

Don't trust this airline. And they are foolish enough to belive they can get away with it by scaring passengers into submission.

Hopefully this helps you guys make good decisions in choosing airlines.
