I no this is a strange question but can you well travelled lot tell me if there are many gay blokes that go backpacking? My gay mates would have a coz if they had to share a hostel or god forbid sleep in a tent. I myself am gay but not the steriotypical type.
One's sexual orientation/preferences do not dictate how one travels. There are thousands of gay backpackers out there seeing the world.

Do a google search for gay backpacking and there is a list of endless information - from gay hostels/hotels/campgrounds to gay backpacker meet-ups to gay wilderness adventures. All associated with backpacking.
I do know we also have backpacking members who are gay or bi-sexual. I'm sure someone will also respond to your question.
