Hey Everyone.
Hi Kirsty
We have just visted Singapore over the weekend & stayed in two different hostel during our stay.
The first was the mitraa and the second was the travellers inn.
Both hostels common areas were quite small but we didnt have any issues meeting people. If we went back I would choose the travellers inn only because how helpful the owners were. They pretty much spent over 30mins highlighting on our map where they thought we would enjoy ect and then on our return checked to see what we enjoyed too (gem like the showers better here too). I would recommend either.
The locations are really good for cheaper food too and also the Mrt (metro is within 5 min walk).
We both loved the city, have fun

I'm in Singapore now and agree with Gem-Leight. There are lots of hostels to choose from. A good location is near Lavender/Boon Keng which is where a collection of hostels are based and close to MRT stations.
Have a lovely time
Hey Everyone.
I traveling to singapore on my own in september. I am looking to book a hostel online ready for when i arrive. i would like a hostel thats pretty popular with backpackers so i can meet new people. but not sure where to start looking. any help would be great. ta x
hi,
it' easy to solved. The local international youth hostel would be the best choice for accommodation .It's cheaper and more safe.English is the universal language.Besides,as your requested, you will meet backpacker like you from all over the world . It's cool and amazing.you would like it.Every time I travel abroad, the international youth hostel would be my first choice.
hope it helps have a nice trip~
