Going to be in Chiang Mai during Songkran for 5 nights (12th-17th April). Any suggestions of a place to stay?? Would be hoping to spend less €10 per night...is this possible??
Have you checked out the here on TP? We've recently launched an improvement to how the ratings are calculated and it seems to be a lot more reflective of what other travellers think of the place (we pull in reviews from both Hostelworld and Hostelbookers, in addition to reviews left by others who booked here and that we know we can trust). comes out as the top result in Chiang Mai (privates from around 10$). I'm sure a dorm bed would come in cheaper if you can get a private for this price!

We stayed at Green Tulip guest house and it was amazing. The owners and cook were so lovely and friendly. It's on hostelbookers here: http://www.hostelbookers.com/property/prp/30706/arr/2012-03-08/ngt/1/ and is super cheap. Really can't recommend it enough, we had a great stay there.
