Sounds like we are in similar situations. I am really up for travelling and Oz/NZ are my top picks. I had thought about doing Oz Intro to meet people as I am a little hesitant about going alone.

Thanks for your reply. I've been doing some research around Oz Intro (and others) and most people on various forums say don't do it as its alot of money when you can easily set a bank A/C up yourself, tax file online and meet plenty of people in your hostels etc so it's put me off the intro a little, plus i can save more money.
Yeah would love to chat more, are you on facebook? Are you also hoping to go around late sept / early oct? And how much are you hoping to save? Sorry for the q's haha!

Yeah the money aspect of it is putting me off, I just thought it might be a good way to meet people, but I guess if I can meet people on here then that would be better.
Yeah I am - Jo Reynolds - should find me with that. I am not 100% on the timeline but after July for sure.
Not sure how much but I know you need either a return ticket or £2/3000 so somewhere about there.
I don't mind the questions at all.

I have my visa and m planning on sept too. which emirates flight are you on Emily?
My sister is in Brisbane so if I head straight there I better some time with her family but I have a WHOLE year to do that I guess, yay!!
I Intend to head to Sydney and settle over the festive period then get a van and drive dive drive. New Zealand and Fiji are also on the cards for me.

Hii, I know I'm about 2 months late and not sure if you guys check this any more, but I sort of booked everything very last minute - I'm heading out to Sydney on the 17th September and after working for a bit I'd love to get in a camper van and drive down to Melbourne... I'm also planning on travelling round new Zealand and the Fiji islands (so pretty much the same as you) but that'll be after celebrating New Year in Sydney.
I'm a bit nervous, and not sure whether to do the oz intro. What have u guys decided?

By the sounds of things and other forums i have read, Oz Intro isnt worth the money and alot of things you can do by yourself for free (TFN, Bank A/C etc). I land in Brisbane on 14th September, plan on meeting a few people from here and other sites out there and will hopefully meet people in my hostel so ive decided against any intro's etc. Your trip looks amazing and just what i want to do too. I would love to campervan NZ and eventually head to SE Asia and rot on a beach somewhere haha!
Do you plan on heading up the east coast at all then? Are you on fb?
