Sports bars needed for US trip

Hi guys..

Okay, LA is about 50 miles long (90 kilometers long), but the best places are near the beach, either in Santa Monica or in Long Beach.

In Santa Monica, go to Santa Monica Blvd between 1st street and 4th street and you'll find lots of places.

In Long Beach (where I used to live), go to the far east part of town near the beach and go on 2nd street. There are 4 great places: Legends, Evo, Riley's and another I don't remember.

In Austin, all the action is on 6th street, but I don't remember any bar names.

In Chicago, go to either Harry Carey's or Michael Jordan's place.

In New York, the ESPN Zone in Times Square is great, but expensive. Any irish bar just east of Times Square (go down 44th street) should have TVs and drinks and entertainment.

In San Francisco, go to the Irish bar named "32" or go to the Hooters down near Fisherman's Wharf. Or go south to Los Gatos and go to Double D's (no, it's not what you think--it is owned by two guys whose last names both start with "D"). In Sunnyvale, there is a great place called Firehouse Grill.

In San Diego, go to Dick's Last Resort.

Can't help you with Orlando, Miami, or Philly--too far away and I don't get to those places too often.

I should mention that in Santa Monica, my favorite spot is Rusty's Surf Ranch or American Pie.

Other good bars around the LA area (in case you don't stay near the beach) are Weber's in Reseda, Mom's Cantina in Brentwood, and MVP Sports Bar in Simi Valley
