Hi I'm Alex!
I am 18 years old and looking at travelling to Oz this July (2012), I am currently going on my own, as with what I have read on other threads I am in the same boat as most. I'm looking for someone to go with? I would like to go out their just to work and travel about, I have family friends out on the west coast, so a trip from the west to the east coast along the south coast would be incredible! I aim to surf as much as I can and meet as many new people as possible! This is something I have always wanted to do.
I am originally from the north of England, but I have been working and living in London for the last two months saving to go away. I will be on a budget, so will really be looking at doing as much as I can for as little as possible, but work is essential really. I am not hooked on any time scale and aiming staying as long as possible. I would like to consider myself as outgoing and friendly, always in a good mood!
So, if anyone is interested or already out their, you are more than welcome to come along too! Just let me know! Or if anyone has any information on first time travelling alone it would be much appreciated, thanks.
Hey Alex. I'm 18 and planning on heading out there around September on my own for about 6 months as a gap year before uni. Hopefully I'm just gunna book a flight and head out there without making any other plans so i can just go with the flow and do whatever.
You seen pretty similar to me, I'm very laid back, and surfing is a definite must do! The waves where i live are just crap Im going to try and keep it cheap too. If it means i can get around more and try more new things i'll just sleep on the beach or whatever.
It would be cool to know someone who's already out there that's my age....it seems like most people will be a few years older, not that that's a problem or anything.
Where are you planning to be for Christmas? Everyone seems to be talking about a massive party on bondi beach which sounds awesome
