Im from Surrey and travelling to Sydney on 28th October from Heathrow, went to Oz in Feb for a month travelling the east coast and now going back on a WHV.
Have you booked your flight yet? Im planning on staying in Sydney until the New Year, cant miss the NYE parties! Then head up the East Coast.
Im getting slightly nervous now but very excited :-) Would be great to meet!

I haven't booked my flight yet as i had a few starting options and just recently chose Sydney.
My plan is to book a flight for after 26th Oct due to work, who are you flying with?
I work in Leatherhead, where abouts in Surrey are you from?
the thought of Xmas on the beach has dulled any nerves i had, i cant wait to get out there! so was Feb your first trip out to Oz?

Im flying with Cathay Pacific was the cheapest i could get booked with STA.
Im from smallfield its right near Gatwick Airport so not too far from you.
Thats all im thinking about is christmas and NYE in Sydney! Yeah Feb was my first trip have wanted to go for ages but had never got round to it. Nearly stayed out there the first time but came back and got made redundant the month after, took that as i sign i shouldve stayed.
So what are your plans for work in Sydney? Im thinking of heading straight to Cairns after New year and getting on a farm. Amazing party atmosphere up there too i met some great people when i was there before and am still in contact with them now.

I'm travelling to Aus in Jan....doing the same as aot off you guys WHV....Staying with mates i've got ou their for a month in Mekbourne, then planning on travelling by myself! I am heading out to Sydney at the end of October. I can't believe it's around the corner! Anyway I went to Sydney in February and just spent a week! Needless to say, I cought the bug and needed to go back!
I have about the same plans as everyone else. I also have WHV but my plans are very fluid right now. I only have three months to travel around. Don't know how much work I will be doing.
I have some friends in sydney so that will be my "home base" but I want to travel as much as possible and most likely will be flying solo. There is so much to see and do. It has been difficult to define a travel plan.
