Travelling the US East Coast on a budget in October

Hi Everyone,

Hi Bilalumar!

As far as hotel and rental accommodations go, as others posters recommended, you should definitely research all the viable options on sites like and . They offer vacation packages that include flights to your initial destination as well as hotel stays and rental cars included in the package.

If you plan to do an independent fly and drive on your own, I suggest using a travel guide from or .

Travel guides come in handy for international travelers who are visiting the United States for the first time. To make your vacation as enjoyable as possible, Lonely Planet and Frommer's travel guides will list recommended dining options, hotels, entertainment and bars you may want to visit during your stay.

I suggest considering an escorted tour, guided vacation or adventure travel tour as well.

There are a couple of tour operators that will provide you with all your needs in a single, affordable package along with the peace of mind of knowing that everything from itineraries, to hotels and rental cars are pre-arranged for you beforehand.

The only downside is you're unable to customize your tour experience and are delegated to visiting the destinations and attractions selected for that specific itinerary.

Here are a few examples of escorted tour providers with pre-arranged itineraries, rental cars and hotels that take you to your destinations of choice:

Cheers!

Pick which towns you want to visit and maybe flights as distances can be great. Lots of history on the East Coast with museums, battle fields, Washington DC and the Smithsonian and so on.

And of course, New York with so much to see and do. The 21 days will soon go.

New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington is a just I reckon. I'll be in Boston soon. Done the other three and had an awesome time. You'll never get bored of new York. I loved it there.

If you're on a budget, you need to know that the Northeast is anything but a 'budget' area. Hotels will be a major expense and unless you want to stay in bed bug places, a problem. I used Airbnb.com to rent a very nice shared apartment in Brooklyn last year, and saved big over Manhattan prices.
