Travel from NICE to INTERLAKEN

Hi,

Err ... which site did you use to search - the french one? That would explain the Paris connection...

Try trenitalia.it or www.bahn.de and search for trains going from Nice to Italy and then then for trains going from Italy to Interlaken. Milan or Turin should work.

On www.bahn.de I got two routes, one going via Ventimiglia and Milano in Italy, the other via Geneve and Bern.

Also check out www.myswitzerland.com for the scenic routes of Swiss train travel. Then decide which route you take.

I'm sure that you can somehow make your own route jumping from train to train.
Check a rail map and that would be pretty easy to do....
Only if you have a rail pass though... otherwise thats alot of tickets...

not sure if anyone posted it buy
www.sbb.ch
is the swiss rail site

You don't need to go to Paris surely, you can go to Geneva from Lyon so there must be a quicker way to do it.

t_maia already said this I think, but I looked at the schedules and you can go from Nice to Geneva on a direct train, it says it takes 6 hours so that means it probably goes through Lyon. From Geneva you get the train to Bern and then from there to Interlaken. It takes about 9 hours. You could always just stay at one of those Swiss cities for a night to save you wasting a whole day on a train, Bern in particular is really nice.

I am trying to do this myself and just discovered that Easy Jet goes to Geneva from Nice and then you can go by train to Interlaken...This really seems like the easiest and cheapest way to go...
