What lens to take to Italy on Vacation.

G'Day All
I am travelling to Italy for 3 weeks and am going to take my Nikon D700, 2 lens only, and a small flash. This will make me look like one of the paparazzi but just.
The question is which two lens. I have all the Nikon Pro AF lens' (14-24mm, 17-35mm, 24-70mm, 70,200mm and the Nikon 18-200DX lens)

I'd suspect that given such gear, you really know your own shooting habits best, and shouldn't stray too far from that. Personally, with my D200, I rely almost exclusively on my 12-24 and the 18-200; I care most about landscapes, and the 12-24 is the lens for that, while I then have the 18-200 for extreme versatility at still decent quality to handle everything else.
If you're at all similar, I guess the 14-24 is the obvious first choice. Next to that... I'd still say 18-200, despite it being DX, though the 24-70 might be a better option if you don't go long very often, as it obviously has a major edge in quality.

Might also depend on your exact plans in Italy. Will you'll be doing just the cities (where I'd give a long zoom the edge), or rather focussing on the country outside of them?

Personally I'd also drop the flash and just make do with the built-in flash when absolutely necessary, but then I'm a natural light fan.
