Egypt & Jordan itinerary - approx. 2.5 weeks

killanigia has indicated that this thread is about Egypt

Skip the second night in Amman, it is one of the ugliest cities in the ME. Spend more time in Petra instead (you'll need it).

Instead of hanging out at Aqaba cross the border into Eilat, Israel. More fun there. Or if you want to avoid getting an Israeli passport stamp hop on the ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba. Aqaba is not that interesting, the fun there is beach and snorkeling and you'll got plenty of that at Dahab. So shorten your time in Aqaba.

Watch out for the visa to Egypt - when you enter overland through the Sinai you cannot get it at the border, you have to get it in advance in either Aqaba or Eilat.

Flight from Sharm to Luxor will be a bit of a problem, be prepared to take the bus.

It is quite rushed but doable. If possible try to get some rest after the trip, you'll need it.

hi i agree with the last post....less time in amman (though would recommend a day trip to the dead sea) and an extra day in petra, also recommend an extra day in wadi rum if you into the outdoors.... try get yourself onto a camel or 4x4 desert trip and stay in a bedouin camp......worth it alone for sleeping under the stars at night.

no real need to stay overnight in aqaba, there is a an overnight ferry across to nuweiba in eqypt. strongly advise few days in dahab, its a fantastic chilled out and relaxed place with great diving and snorkelling oppertunities.... the blue hole is a must.

its worth bearing in mind that jordan is much more expensive than egypt and is not a cheap place to travel. unfortunatley i cant offer advice on how to travel as i did my trip with a tour company.

enjoy
