Hi me and my fiancé are travelling to Sydney in January, then planning on carrying on up the east coast, maybe hiring a camper van. Any advise on camper vans and places to stop on the wAy to cairns would be much appreciated thanks.

Hi, I'm going to australia next september, Not quite sure where I'm starting but Im hoping to travel around in a camper van. I have found a really good campervan website. You can rent and buy. If you buy they garantee they will buy it back after your trip. It works out cheaper than renting! They also kit out your vechal for you with camping basics, like table & chairs, bed, most stuff thats needed for your trip. They also offer breakdown cover throughout the whole of australia, which gives a bit of security. They also kit it out if you get a car or 4 by 4! If you get an ordinary van they turn it into a camper by biulding a bed and sink area in the back of the van. If you want the website message me!
Enjoy planning your trip,
Steph
Hi steph
That sounds like a great idea as long as long as the buy back rate is good, any websites that do this would be good to look at thanks

Hi
I am going to Australia in October with 2 friends we are thinking of flying into Cairns and travelling down the east coast just wondering do you know of any good hostels or routes you would recommend we take.
We're not decided yet whether to go by camper van or Greyhound bus.
All suggestions and help would be brilliant
Thanks (",)

There's listed here at travellerspoint, most with reviews that allow you to pick the best ones.
