3 years ago when I left the US I bought a Cannon 870IS The camera was perfect, performed well, easy to use. It has its limitations, but was great for all I wanted, something I could slip in my pocket and take snaps with. Honestly Ive had the bells and whistles cameras and they are too bulky for me and I use to end up never taking any pictures at all.
