New Zealand 2010-11

I am planning on going to New Zealand from November 2010 till May 2011 [possibly later depending on funds and how brilliant it is].
I have booked a ticket on the 'Sheepdog' pass with the 'Kiwi Experience' and am using this to travel from auckland [to which I am flying to] all around both islands ending in Christchurch. I am getting an open ended return ticket which is around £900 everything included and am flying from either Heathrow or Stansted. Just wondering:

Do it in a camper van mate. Thats what me and a friend are doing over November from Auckland down both islands before we fly into OZ from christchurch! Although your there a few months longer... Still from what i've read, doing it in a camper van is the best way!

Campervan for sure! You'll see everything that NZ has to offer for about quarter the price

Hi,
I have been living in NZ for the past 7 months (came on a years visa from UK). We had planned to stay in Auckland but when we got their we didn't get a real vibe of NZ and although it's a nice city it wasn't what we were looking for. So we toured down the east coast of the north island (hired a car from ACE rentals - cheap!), which was beautiful and came to Wellington and loved it. Wellington is a great little city with a feel vibe and sense of belonging.
We have toured around and the best way is to get a camper (check out jucy.co.nz) - it's easy to get around and you can go at your own pace!
NZ is a great little county with a lot of history and culture, locals are great too, amazing sense of humour!
Any questions let me know.
Sweet as bro (as they say)
