Straytravel or Kiwi experience?

Hi,

Hi Maik...

I went with Stray in December, and enjoyed it that much that I will be using there service in Asia in October!

These guys take you to all the best places in NZ, including some hidden secrets, and there is an emphasis on making friends and seeing the real New Zealand! They also take you to some brilliant hostels, all fairly cheap!

Dont worry about there not being many people, loads go with Stray... they dont advertise as much as Kiwi, purely because they like to attract people who want to see the real thing.

If you go Stray you will have so much fun guaranteed!

Hope that helps !!!

hmm,

ok. Is it possible when I go with kiwi (between end of march and beginning of april) that they aren`t so overcrowded of party people?

Does anyone went with kiwi out of the summerseason(December-February)?

Does stray stop in the same towns or cities as kiwi? (I know that they mostly don`t use the same hostels)

Does stray stop only in small villages in the middle of nowhere or in bigger towns as well?

regards

I travelled with Kiwi Experience when I went to NZ and a lot of the drivers were only bothered about their commission. A few of the drivers were sound and would tell you about cool activities which were also cheap, but most drivers would only push the expensive activities which made them more money.

The two buses go similar routes (as did Magic Bus which was also an option when I went) and I remember seeing the Stray bus once and it looked calm and chilled, so maybe not as partyish as Kiwi and more focussed on seeing the country.

But although Stray have a reputation as not being a party bus, I also did a free day tour of Auckland with Stray and the tour guide was still a good laugh. So just because they're not a party bus doesn't mean they won't still try to ensure everyone has fun.
