John,
Read the post below yours: 'Travelling to the US with a Criminal Record'. Several members have posted that the US does not have all UK arrest records. Only major crimes, terrorist list. Your caution is not on their computer. Canada and the US have shared databases so all criminal records are available to both countries. Good luck.
So what you are saying is USA and Canada DO have access to all uk arrests,?
Regards
J
What Mike is saying - there is the possibility that the US and Canada may have access to your records because both countries do share information with the UK. Your best route is speaking with someone in the US Consulate in the UK. You can take your chances and hope for the best, or your can follow up on this situation in advance. Caution and conviction are two different 'animals' but taking responsibility by contacting the Consulate is a good idea.
I know others will disagree with me and say play the 'don't say anything' card. It may work. But, if not, being sent back home on your own dime before ever leaving the airport will also not be a pleasant experience.
