I'm a student, well, you know, as a student the thing me most lack of is money~
So, is anyone here familiar with NYC, and can itroduce me some nice hotel and restauraunt but the price is okay to poor student? :C
I've always want to travel in NY by myself.

NYC is full of small eateries. A slice of pizza or a mexican taco will costs you around US$2.5-3.5. At diners & fast food chains, you can get a burger with fries or other simple dishes for $5-10. At most small restaurants, you can get a nice meal for $8-12.
If you want to stay cheap, try looking on hostel search engine websites. You may find a dorm bed for $20-30 / night.
Getting around is fairly easy. You can buy a weekly pass (metrocard) with unlimited rides for $29, which valid on the subway and metropolitan buses.
Admissions to museum / other sites will also add to the cost. But, these depend also what you want to visit and when. Recommend taking free ferry to staten island and back, visit liberty statue and the museum, empire state building will offer you the best view from any high rise building, guggenheim and metropolitan museum, etc.
But NYC will offer a lot, just by walking around too.

One of America's most expensive cities, but also great for cheap ethnic food: great Italian, Jewish, Latin, Chinese (you can find it all in NYC as long as you stay out of midtown Manhattan!)
Prices drop considerably when you stay in Queens or Brooklyn neighborhoods to eat/sleep (New York is more than Manhattan).
Plenty of cheap eats to be found in the city - depending on your tastes and how tight you want your budget to be. That runs from $1 pizza (think filling pizza, not good New York pizza), $.75 bagels, $2 falafel, to great options that run about $10.
Lunch is the best time to find bargain meals everywhere except midtown, as most restaurants have specials that are about half the price of dinner - so trying to make lunch your biggest meal isn't a bad thing.
Some easy to find areas for the cheapest of eats include Chinatown, St. Marks Place, MacDougal Street (between W 3rd and Bleecker St), Little India (E. 6th Street).
Museums and such do add to your costs, but if you plan right a lot of museums which are free, or have a once a month day when they are free, or you can find discounts. The Metropolitan museum (the Met) is by donation (they do have a suggested donation of about $20, but if you aren't rich donating $2-$5 instead won't make them look at you funny). There are also all sorts of discount passes that include museum admissions, tours and the like.
If you like to walk - it's the best way to get around the city and there are plenty of walking tours (including some I've written) available.
As to accommodations - staying outside of Manhattan will give you cheaper options, but will require more time on the Subway. It also likely will be in a place with cheaper food options.
For an inexpensive, clean & safe place to stay you might want to check out East Village Bed and Coffee. I have no affiliation whatsoever (I live in the Caribbean :-)) but have stayed there and would recommend it.
Here's a - search for "New York" or Brooklyn, New York". I would avoid Bedford Stuyvesant (not the best area).
