Bangkok to Singapore in 16days...where 2 go and what 2 c???

Hi, two 23 year old females arriving in Bangkok on the 12June and planning to make our way down to Singapore in 16days. Advice from anyone who has been on a similar trip would be great. Interested in visiting the islands that everyone talks about and want to avoid the bad weather if possible! Oh and also up for some partying!

Sinead,
Looking at your photo, the partying will come to you!

Decide what is important to see. You might want to spend some time around BKK before heading south for the beaches.

You are arriving in rainy season. You do not need book anything beforehand. One exception might be your first night in BKK. Many like to know where they are staying that first night.

I would decide what coast to visit once in BKK. The weather might be better on the side when you are there. Then down to Samui, . If the side has better weather, visit ,
i. You might also save some time for the island off Trang. , on your way to SIN. You can fly from Hat Yai to SIN or bus/train through Malaysia. I will let the Malaysia experts point out what to see/do while there. Good luck with your planning.

Hey, you should have a couple of days in Singapore. I would say probably about 3 days and spend the rest in Bangkok or you could actually go island hopping in Thailand.

Hey I just got back from 8 months travell, 5 months we spent on south east Asia! Hope the info below helps:

When you arrive in Bangkok u can get the train straight into the centre and then a taxi or a tuktuk onto koh San road. U will find a place to stay easy enough and then shop explore and party a little bit. On koh San road u will find travel agents who can get u to koh tao via train overnight and a connecting ferry to the island. Go with the train rather than the bus. Koh Tao is great for scuba diving, u can then connect to Kho pangan and koh samui for the full moon party if timing is right! Then u may want to consider flying out of samui to krabi to save an overnight boat and bus trip! Make sure u go to Riley and phi phi they're beautiful places! You can island hop all the way through into the Malaysian islands can't remember the name, but the boat is quite expensive, we got a boat back to Thai mainland from koh Lanta and a bus across the border. From here we rushed down to kula lumpur because we were heading to Bali, but on the north east of Malaysia there are suppose to be some nice spots! From KL u can fly or bus to Singapore!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, just pick up a lonely planet guide or2 in bkk and plan as u go! U prob won't have time but if u do then fly from KL to Bali, go to the gilli islands, and fly to Singapore from Bali, air Asia, will cost about 120 pounds, my best spot in south east Asia!

Hope this helps, have fun, u will love it!

Thailand
Kho Tao
Kho Phangan
Phi Phi

Malaysia
Perhinthians
Kuala Lumpar
THey also have a zip wire jungle experience in Malaysia which sounded pretty awesome however i didnt have time to go, might be good to check that out, think you can see gibbons or monkeys or something.

I think thats what id do in that space of time, you dont want to do too much as chilling in these places is the best part of it have fun!

You should really visit Pattaya I mean; it's a fantastic city for people who travels trough Thailand.

And "Jenny_h" also got some good ideas. Kho Tao = beautiful place, great oceans, cheap prices at EVERYTHING. I haven't been to Malaysia yet, but should really take a trip there soon I hope

16 days. Shoot I have this itinerary for 8 weeks. It includes 5-7 days in Bali though.

Also .. I'll suggest Langkawi in Malaysia (gulf coast resort type island).
