Hello.
I have criminal convictions in New Zealand. I went to Aussie back in 2007. Filled out their card on the plane. Got off plane at Sydney & got up to customs.
O boy did the fun start. I handled them my kiwi passport & yip something came up in it & they said you have a record. Yes I said so they took me aside & I was questioned by then for nearly 2-3 hours.
Sorry they said but you can't come in so I spend a night at the Villawood detection centre out of Sydney.
Ok. Im now applying for a UK passport because my father was english. I have been told that it won't hold my pass in it. So I should be able to get back into Aussie.
I have since travelled to asia with no problems. My main consern is that they still hold my name photos of me at Sydney. Will this stop me even if I hold a UK passport. They will check? Right?
Why ask strangers on the internet?
Why not contact Australian Immigration officials?
