Hey guys. I am working on finalizing a honeymoon trip in September. Here is what we are planning at this time:
-4 days in Paris with possible day trips to Normandy and Loire Valley
-1 night in Lyon
-2 nights Lake Como
-1 night Venice
-2 nights Rome
-2 nights Amalfi Coast
-1 night Rome-Fly home
I spent a week in Venice last spring, and seeing San Marco and the Doge's Palace is really cool, but the best way to experience the city (especially if you only have a day or two) is to just walk around and poke into shops and maybe spend an afternoon at a cafe. It's small enough you can walk everywhere within half an hour if you're on the island.
