A very broad question, but I guess you mean the United States?
In that case, I can only give a broad answer, not entirely 100% true, but kinda: if interested in nature, visit the western half, if interested in cities visit the eastern half (New York, Chicago, Boston, D.C. etc.). Still, some nice cities in the west as well, like SF, LA, Seattle, Vegas. But for nature....Go West.....life is peaceful there

Very vague and not possible to answer unless you include what your interests or likes/dislikes are.
Are you looking for big cities, nightlife, wildlife, scenery, gambling, sunshine, beaches, festivals???
Its all depends on what your in to, and what particulary draws you to america in the first place. is it the people, the places, the culture?
if its just so you can say ive visited america then just go wherever is cheapest to fly to .
as for money again it all depends on what you plan to do.
