how do i get travel insurance for a year in aus? and whats best?
when i booked my flight tiks with sta travel they offered me insurance with my deal ask about it when booking tiks up with whatever company. Or just google it and shop around for best price
go onto google and type long stay travel insurance and select the 2nd one down.it works out about 17p a day and 150 roughly for a year,i added extra activitys and a medical weaver and total it cost me £220.
sta is good but more expensive the one i said before has most things covered for the price you pay

you can get your visa for 150 and i got my flights for 560,flights were cheap from sta very good deal as im goin to bangkok stopping for a month then to sydney flying up to cairnes then backpacking down the east coast
iv got my visa and flight just need insurance.

I got backpackers insurance for 7 months with holiday safe.
Search for them in any search engine
Only cost me £64.00 and compared them with well known insurers like the post office etc and there was no difference at all!
Which ever company you choose make sure they are approved by the FSA...i think thats the right wording? (Financial Services Authority)
