Hiking Ireland

Hi, some friends and I are thinking of hiking/camping in some mountains in Ireland in summer, probably around May or September and we're wondering which mountain range/s would be the most rugged, wildest and most secluded? We have a reasonable amount of hiking/camping experience between us, really want to get off the beaten track and I think I'd like to spend about a week in a single area. Anyway, I was thinking possibly the Dingle peninsula, or around the Derryveagh mountain range? I haven't really explored much, though I've been to the Mournes and they seem great too, just wondering how the others would compare. Thanks!

To be honest most mountain ranges are rugged and wild :p
The mountain range I'd visit most is the commeragh range in the south east. There are some beautiful hikes in that area, and breathtaking views!
Otherwise the tallest mountain In Ireland is carrauntoohill in the macgillycuddy's reeks range, it's in Kerry, in the south west of the country. Kerry in general has some great places to hike, and all the way up the west coast of the country is considered the most rugged part of the country! Have fun!
