Thailand vs. Laos Vs. newzealand

I am traveling around the south china, thailand, Laos, possibly new zealand area. I am new to traveling and currently am planning on traveling solo ( unless some-one wishes to join me!) I am female 21. I am interested in seeing sites, some partying, exploring, i am not opposed but not an avid hiker. I have from mid-may until the end of June to travel. I am a student, so i will be staying in hostels and my budget is somewhat limited... I am nervous to travel alone in a country where i don't speak the language, I only speak English. Any suggestions on where I should go? What area would best suit my interests? Thank you for any help/ guidance you can give me!!

hi lanayl,

i prefer China as i have been there last year with my friends.it's amazing, people there are friendly. We started from the well know silk road and we travelled 5 cities of China,as the south China we have been the Chengdu of Sichuan province. you can look at my blog: -snip- for some tips . On the other hand as the language, pls don't worry. i travelled almost all Asia countries. In my opinion,"thanks" ,"hello" of local language is enough to comunicate with people. After all they can feel our heart.BTW you can google for the local International Youth Hostel . It's cheap and safe. English is the comunication language. you can meet person like you from all over the world. hope it helps have a nice trip~ if you need further help pls feel free to let me know.

As far as your concern for English language is considered then I would like to mention here that its a world language now. SO you might not to have much issues and I woudl go prefer Thailand. Its a great place with great fun around.

I have to say I loved Laos, Thailand and New Zealand. They are all fantastic. I would say either do Thailand and Laos, or New Zealand. Whatever you choose you won't regret it.

thanks everyone for the replies!! i think i have decided on thailand, laos and maybe cambodia/ vietnamn! any other suggestions???

i sure hope your right about the language! im a little nervous but hopefully i am fine! thanks for the idea on youth international hostels too! any other travel suggestions i should know about?
