Hi guys i am planning a WHV for australia either at the end of this year or early 2013. i was wondering if anybody had any information on purchasing a campervan while down there to travell around with. I figure this would ultimately save quite a bit of money on living. i just dont know if its hard to come across one down there or if its super expensive. If anyone has done this or has any info it would be of great help. thanks
hey, just google it . remember oz is so big it takes sometimes day to get from one city to another maybe time consuming. my sister did it with her friend and had no issues. When u heading out?

Different states have different rules.
Here in WA seems fairly simple, Gumtree seems to be where they are all advertised. Just make sure it comes with enough 'rego' (basic insurance, tax etc all in one) otherwise you'll have the expense of putting it over the pits (MOT).
Plenty of backpackers buy a van, tour the country and sell it on at the end. Just make sure you get it mechanically checked out as if you're planning a long trip you don't want something that's been knackered!
