I'm planning to start trekking and traveling for about a year starting July in Peru. Do you think its too early in the year and too cold to to start. Should I start farther up north such as Aquador? Or maybe even postpone to the end of Aug?
Ecuador and Peru have the same weather. dry season from june to september. rainy season from oct to may. although it really doesn't rain much in oct, nov, and may.
Enjoy ! Agree with jud, the rain up in the mountains isn't usually too bad until about December, January - during which time it's lovely weather down on the coast. I'm going to be in Peru until at least September so if I can help with any queries please let me know.
