Has anyone ever tried or heard about the Behai to Haikou by ferry?
Hainan is an island. As far as I know there is no bridge to the mainland, and so no train to Guangzhou. Sanya has regular flights to many cities in China, and even internationally- so flying might be your best bet.
120 for the ferry is a good deal. then 80 to Sanya.
I just hope it doesnt change by the end of July-August.
I was in Guanzhou, last year, and I don't know if they really understand me. I ask for train tickets to Hainan, and they were responding in Mandarin... I said hard seats, but they said only hard sleeper is available. So the train exist, but everyone is telling me it doesn't. I know Hainan is an island. But its China, they build the great wall, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they manage to make a train cross over to that island.
