Who to book with?

Travel Nation / RoundTheWorldExperts / STA ??

What are you wanting to book? All the companies you mention offer more than one thing/product.

Ah yes I probably should have been a tad more specific!!

I'm planning a RTW:
UK - S,Africa - Singapore - Thailand - Hong Kong - Australia - Fiji - N.America - UK

The two i've worked closest with are Travel Nation and Round the World Experts. Both have told me that I go over a flight limit of 33.5K miles and so the only way to do this journey is to have a RTW ticket + some extra flights that they book separately under the same T&Cs as the RTW.

Company A offers me the perfect journey (into the right cities, not just the right countries) each time. Company A is also £100 cheaper! HOWEVER Company B has been recommended to me, very reputable AND they told me that Company A's route just isn't possible: The airlines won't allow that ticket to be released as it's too far over milage.

I don't really know who to go with. I just don't want to go with the cheaper option, only to find out i'm being lumped with having to pay for an additional flight somewhere along the line because they couldn't include it anyway...

Help!

(Apologies for shrouding this whole message in mystery with "company A & B" - I don't want to imply any bias at this point - they both have other pros and cons in terms of date transfer fees, personal recommendations etc etc)

Thanks
Kitty

Are you intending to do your RTW in that order?

Yes this is the plan. Why can you think of another route that appears to be more logical?

No problem with the route.
Have you compared 1 RTW fare with individual fares?

I haven't. Do you mean literally go on Quantas / Virgin / Singapore Airlines websites?

Do you know what flexibility you get with this? Can you still just ring them up and change the flight dates if you want?

Thanks

Not specifically those airlines, no - but the likes of Air Asia can get you from the UK to Oz (via KL) for under £400, if youre flexible with dates. Thats just one example of many chop and change budget airlines that can get you 1/2 way round the world for less than the cost of a flight from London to Rome on a national carrier.
