I'll be in Europe for about a month during December and January. Gonna have to hit the slopes in Switzerland. I plan on staying in Interlaken. Does anybody know the going rates for a lift ticket and gear rental?
Oh - its so expensive. Expect to pay around €200 for a four day ski-hire/lift pass. That price may vary a little in your favour, but only by a little.
Sure, it's got the best skiing in the world, but the prices you pay fro everything in Switzerland are so painful.
Quite honestly, it's not that much more expensive to get a weeks half board in Poiana Brasov (Romania) or Pamporovo (Bulgaria), including the passes.
Thanks flyingbob for the feed back. Good to know about the pricing there. I planned on allocating most of my budget toward this area of the trip. Good that its been confirmed though. Anyway you seem to know your stuff. Have you heard of Axalp, I think its in interlaken -snip-.
