Yes, a month to travel down the east coast is comfortable. It'll help if you know where you want to stop so you don't spend too much time doing things you don't want to be doing.
Yep a month is plenty of time. Highly recommend some time in Byron Bay - you should try and coincide with some live music performances whilel you're there
When you planning on arriving in Cairns? Are you going for the Oz Intro in Sydney first? I fly into Cairns on 27th September and have until the 10th November before i need to be in Melbourne. Plan to travel by Greyhound as far as Sydney then fly down to Melbourne from there. Only arrival date and departure booked for now... will sort out my bus pass when i arrive!
