I applied for my WHV in january and set the date i wanted it to start from the 24th September 2010.
Im just making my final preparations for my trip as it starts next month and re-read my visa email. It says that the last chance i can enter australia is January 2011. Does this mean that my visa started last January? & if so does that mean i have to leave Australia this January? The plan was to have a full year and leave in September 2011
No, it should mean that you have one year to enter the country from when it was granted, then it is valid one year from the date of entry. The wording is a tad vague if I remember correctly, but I'm 99.99% sure this is still the deal these days!!
