Cambodia

Hi Guys,

hi, I went there in the summer and from what I remember you need to buy a pass for the angkor wat sites and you can either get a one day pass or a three day pass (which works out cheaper than two one day passes). I looked at all of the main temples in one day (with a tuk tuk driver to take us around) and it was exhausting and overwhelming, towards the end of the day I felt that I didn't fully appreciate the temples. In retrospect perhaps I should've just picked a few that I wanted to see instead of cramming them all in! If I went back again, I would probably spend at least two days, and if you can get there for sunrise that is beautiful as well. Hope that's a little bit helpful! Oh, also I am vegetarian too, and depending on what you like it's fairly easy! They all seem to have vegetarian options (though some are limited) and if you're staying in Siem Reap there are supermarkets and in the main street restaurants selling western food. hope this is helpful!!!

Sandy,
Get the 3 day pass. You will see all the old rocks you want in 3 days. I suggest you take the time to get over to . It is away from the main Angkor complex but worth the time and effort to visit. Has the best preserved temples IMO.

I am a veggie as well and had no problem finding meals. Rice and stir fry veggies are pretty common. Good luck with your planning.

Thanks Jen and Mike.
I search on internet about siem ream and it looks like its all temples. and they are so many.
which one you would suggest out of these, I don't want to spend 3 days watching all the ruins. If you don't mind, can you share the list of sites you visited in Siem Reap.
also i saw there is something called Bird eye view of Temple, by helicopter or small jet? do you have any idea about it, and how costly it is?

Thanks again for reply.
