Not sure if exit checks are in the process of being introduced yet in the UK (I know they were scheduled to be introduced over several years). However, the main issue will possibly be with re-entering - as in you would be considered a tourist on an Australian passport, rather than a resident on a Greek passport.
This might be able to be rectified with the UKBA once you have got the Greek passport back, however I'm not sure how.
