I'm 23 and from Manchester. I'm looking at going to Thailand in August 2012 but feeling a little apprehensive going solo, especially landing in Bangkok to such a culture difference (although I'm sure I'd find my feet after while)
I'm looking to do a jungle/ elephant trek, see some of the temples/ islands and also Full Moon Party is a must. (wouldn't want head home on my own after a night at the bucket stalls!)
Done some research but would be nice to touch down with someone or meet someone even if it's while I adjust!

i have been Thailand with my friends last year. we travelled Bangkok,Phuket ,Pattaya.It's really nice place. you would be like it.
BTW Under the influence of climatic characteristics, every year from November to February of the following year for the lack of rain with a mean temperature of 16 degrees Celsius, flowers gorgeous, so it would be the best time to travel Pattaya. My life motto is : enjoy travel enjoy life.

I'm Derek, 24. I'm planning to go to Thailand for my first time solo around August 18th until early September. I was also planning to do some jungle trekking (as long as there isn't torrential downpour, considering it's the monsoon season), as well as get my PADI license and hit up the September 1st Full Moon Party! I just want jungle adventurous, beaches, and alcohol. If you're around at that time hit me up!
