Is it possible to create separate photo albums? ie one for place A one for place B etc.
Kinda not-quite. The best you can do at present it to tag each photo in a set with a unique word, and then treat the gallery filtered by that tag as the "album". For example, here's my , or my .

You could either just link to a tagged gallery, or manually insert photos from one place into the post (using the little rectangular "picture" icon just above the big textarea), and in that way use the blogpost as the "album".
