SIM CARD HELP??

I am going travelling in 3 weeks and i still do not have a SIM card...can anyone help with the best one to buy that i can use in Thailand/Australia and New zealand please as im so confused

i do not familiar with Thailand. As the Australia you can buy one of the most four famous oprator:VODAFONE,3G,OPTUS and TELSTRA. hope it helps have a nice trip~

Last time I arrived in Australia, I found SIM cards for free on prepaid plans at the international terminal in Sydney... talk with the sales guys and they'll tell you which 'plan' will suit you best.

I got a $30 plan for a month which included something like $500 calls, a fairly substantial internet allowance, unlimited local texts and I didn't run out of international texts, but I don't know what was allocated. Calls on the same network were also free. Facebook access was also free. I have an (unlocked) iPhone, and they set everything up for me at the airport. This was with Vodafone.

All around there were stands for all the other carriers anyway. I didn't shop around, Vodafone were just there when I looked, and it was only after I'd started talking to the guy that I saw the other carriers.

Check things like: rolling over unused credits, and if you are going to be calling home a lot look at some of the other providers. For example, my mum has a mobile SIM card with Lebara because they have really cheap calls to China (where I live), and reasonable calls to UK (where my sister lives).

Hope that is useful. Have a good time in Australia!!

Thank you all so much - very helpful x
