Train Travel In India

Im heading off to India for a month or so in September / October, mainly to the north of the country.

Well its really not a big problem. You can easily get them booked at time as well. The Indian Rail Network is so big and surely you would get one for you for sure.

Well in my opinion their is no need to book your tickets now but you should book your tickets by the end of the August, because their might be case when all the seats are booked, it happened with me earlier.

In Wembley, London their is a place where you can buy Rail cards for any period from 4 days to 90 days < its recommended by Indian Railway Website. That how im going about it <

Well i would also suggest you to not to book your train tickets now, but make sure that you book your tickets within a month before your journey so that you do not have any worry regarding the tickets.

Hi

Booking a train ticket in India is No Problem as here they have a separate quota for Foreign tourists so that last minute bookings can also be done.... But i shall suggest you to book a WEEK in ADVANCE to avoid any disappointment.

This way you would not be booking far ahead and at the same time get seat for your journey. You just need to go to a Rail Reservation Counter (GOVERNMENT RUN COUNTERS) and show a copy of your passport to get the Booking done.

Please be WARY of agents offering you tickets as they can dupe you by offering you Illegitimate tickets... So Book you tickets yourself at the counter only
