This time visiting no where for christmas holidays.
It is good that you are visiting mountains to get a fresh atmosphere and may be trecking/climbing atmosphere.
If you can visit another country that would be very good too. If so why not visit India?
I'm a consumer and like Bangkok for christmas where it's just another day and I can be out shopping with everyone else.
AirAsia will get you to another country fairly cheaply.
Enjoying Christmas holidays in mountainous area at tropical country like Vietnam sounds soooo kool!
I often enjoy my Christmas in some high-lands such as Dalat, Daklak, but if I was you, I would choose Sapa or Mai Chau to enjoy these holidays with great mountains ( special as Phansipang Mount. - The roof of Indochina) , epic terraced fields... and the temperature goes down under - 3 C.degrees. However, the ethic people are very friendly and will send you warmest greeting when you climbing or do traveling there. Believe me! You will never ever regret spending Christmas in Vietnamese mountainous areas.

Why u don't chose Vietnam as a destination for your Christmas. In the North of Vietnam, Sapa is one of famous destination for travel. That is moutain area. Yo will have chance to climb Fanxipan moutain with other and have more experience about ethnic people in Vietnam...And it is not expensive if you travel to Sapa.
I recommend spending holidays here in the Philippines is an experience you will never forget. We have the longest Christmas ever, with all the lights and happenings you will enjoy it! But of course no one can defeat spending it with your love ones.

^I love Manila... anything happening in the city for December? I love it as the food is great and the activities just never runs out and the people are just so friendly...
anyways, I would definitely love to celebrate this Christmas with someone special.. well, it is possible except that I don't have any one special... I would probably just have fun with my love ones and the relatives...

When I was in Philippines, I thought how long will they celebrate... I think it started by Nov and continued till Christmas and u could see lights everywhere, Malls decorated, Masses throughout... Festive mood started and u would feel not much thing goes on work wise...
Ahhh.. But that was the only Christian Predominant country I have visited though.
