I am a student from Singapore and I am currently on an Student Exchange Programme in a German University. My nationality is Singaporean. I have some queries regarding my residence permit and the possibility of extending my stay in Germany that I need help with.
Go to the local Ausländerbehörde and ask them to extend your residency permit.
Call them ASAP, it sometimes takes several months to process such a request.
When you apply take 2 photos that comply with German regulations for a biometric passport photo, bank statements, proof of health insurance and of your flight home. If you have a flight out of Frankfurt booked at the end of January it usually won't be a problem to extend your visa.
