Travelling around South Island in back of a campervan..

mobpab has indicated that this thread is about New Zealand

Hello mate I spent four weeks driving around NZ in a camper last year.

One thing that struck me about the South Island was just how desolate and uninhabited it is. There is something hauntingly attractive about it to me anyway!

Personally I don't really think you'll have a problem, the amount of traffic we encountered during the drive (Queenstown-Mt Cook-Timaru-Christchurch-Kaikoura-Blenheim) was minimal.

I'm not sure about the legalities of it but as long as your not driving drunk/high or like a maniac then I can't see you getting stopped.

You could always hide!

Have a good trip!

ps all the roads we used were fine with no problems
